The Last Days Of Empire

As the continued mess of a negotiated exit from the EU continue between Brussels and London it is becoming crystal clear the contradictions of one union are shown in a truly negative light.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been exposed for what it truly is. The rule of one dominant nation over those other ‘members’ nations has been highlighted more and more as the debacle of leaving the EU goes from crisis to crisis.

The entirety of the UK is slowly and steadily being exposed as nothing more than one nation’s madness and the little or no regard for those other supposed equal nations.

The leave majority secured in England alone and nothing in the way of voting numbers in the other three nations would have had any impact on the end result. Too many in England were so self centred in their own needs they ignored the very union they covet as perfect. When in fact there is no perfection when one nation rules them all.

Brexit and the idea of leaving the European Union was not born on the streets of Belfast or Edinburgh or Cardiff but in the leafy villages in little England where the toxicity of empire still holds a persuasive power.

The UK as an entity is fast becoming more a hostage situation rather than a union of equal nations. It never was a union of equals and when the Brexit hammer dropped it cracked open the the walls where the truth of the supposed union were kept secret.

The contradiction comes when those very same extremes of Brexit are reminded that the UK freely entered into the European family and even had a referendum to join. Incredibly those very same people are largely the driving force behind the current madness and manipulation of Brexit.

The loudest voices for leave are also some of the most insidious political hacks in existence. With Nigel Farage you get someone who has a German wife, collects an MEP’s salary whilst doing little or nothing to actually argue the case for the UK within the EU.

A cretin so at ease with lying to those who would be hurt most by a no deal Brexit he actually had the balls to say that his latest manifestation into politics will be his new party unimaginatively named ‘The Brexit Party’ will enter the race for, wait for it…………

European elections on the 23rd May 2019. Elections that only show the failure of Farage’s political ideology. The very fact there are EU elections only shows that leaving the EU wasn’t an easy task despite the lies of Farage to the contrary.

None of that promised by Farage or his Brexit ideology often spewed beyond his nicotine stained teeth with the whiff of a warm British ale on his breath was ever deliverable and he knew it. Farage won’t feel the pain of a no deal Brexit……

To put it mild….

But those poor bastards that buy this guy’s crap refuse to see that the former banker and all wanker Farage is their lord and saviour. The man to bring sovereignty back into the UK’s hand again, that in itself a blatant lie told by the likes of Farage.

Lies told by another to those so at ease with being lied to were courtesy of one Boris Johnson. Johnson is a relic of England’s class system in which privilege and politics go hand in hand. Whereas Farage will rally against the perceived ‘elites’ Johnson is just that.

An elite to his very core and quintessentially English he was a member of the infamous Bullingdon club at Oxford University in which a group of upper class posh boys treated those of lower class worse than the dirt between their toes.

Circled in the picture is both Boris Johnson and one David Cameron. It’s funny how people claim that politicians can be out of touch with the people yet pictures such as the one above only highlight they can never be in touch with the people. Old British attitudes nurtured by the class system hellbent on sustaining the old guard.

The reality of the contemporary is such that with Brexit the English in their haste to break free from that which they had no choice but to join thanks to the mismanagement of the UK post WWII. Again the original decision to join the European Community was brought across the line by the English. In 1975 the UK voted to remain a part of the European experiment.

All the mismanagement of the UK since then has been driven by English MP’s and Prime Ministers who treated those other three nations in that union as a mere afterthought only using the British label to cover what are English problems in origin.

The increasing problem for those with the little England mindset is an increased feeling of enough is enough. Once again the Scottish are cranking up the talk of another independence referendum. Whilst the last did see a 9% margin to remain hostage to their Londinium overlords, with the realities of Brexit and the rank attitudes of those driving the extreme nationalism born of Brexit only serve to uncover what those within Scotland, Ireland and Wales have increasingly become aware that the UK, Great Britain isn’t a union.

It is a long running hostage situation were coercion and threat coupled with the facade of equality in union is being exposed.

Brexit has brought no positives and in fact could be the starting gun for the beginning of the end of a union as old as time itself. We may be witness to the absolute end of empire.

The old norms won’t get out of this alive.
