Is Your Business Safe In Metaverse? Check Out The List.

6 popular businesses aren’t in the safe zone in future

You should have heard the popular phrase of the Metaverse. International celebrities like Mark Zuckerberg have popularized the phrase Metaverse making more people believe in this illusion. I also believe that Metaverse is a reality on its way and something that will surely happen from what history has taught us.

For those wondering what Metaverse is, it is an extensive online world of endless possibilities where interconnected virtual communities will meet, work, enjoy and handle nearly everything that traditionally requires physical contact to happen.

You should now have an idea of what Metaverse is. Though the phrase can sound like a fantasy, history has much to tell on how things that looked like dreams have truly become common occurrences. Mark Zuckerberg surprised many people when he bought WhatsApp while he already had the messenger App. However, today WhatsApp remains popular than both the messenger and Instagram, showing what the visionary Zuckerberg oversaw ahead of everyone else. Zuckerberg is such an inspiration and visionary entrepreneur who emphasizes the reality of the Metaverse world to happen soon. Zuckerberg has a history of realities that started as fantasies what make the Metaverse phrase appear a reality in transition.

“Facebook has bought Oculus VR in 2014 (Acquisition Cost: $2.0 billion). This is the preparation of the Metaverse world that is soon to come. Just like artificial intelligence, which started in zombie movies in the 19th Century showing what the super-beings would do with the intelligence, the Metaverse is also set to happen. Today nearly everyone daily interacts with artificial intelligence systems, making what seemed as impossibilities a reality.

Once Metaverse happens, there would be a turnaround change in the lifestyles and livelihoods of people. Many businesses will die, and a few will grow. In this article, I highlight six businesses that will die in the Metaverse.

In the virtual reality world, there will be no need for fashionable outfits. No one will see your real outfit but the virtual one you will have in your virtual profiles. Therefore, the outfitting business will soon die.

Both public and private transport will slowly die when everyone is working from home in virtual environments. No one will need to catch buses and trains to work as traditional physical workspaces will be replaced by virtual environments accessible from home.

This could have surprised many people, wondering how the real estate business will die with Metaverse. However, going virtual will reduce the rural to urban migration as people will still sustain their jobs within their homes. The real estate business thrives in towns from the need for housing and working spaces. Reducing the number of people going to towns to settle for work will kill the real estate business.

Imagine you want to visit a place in Ireland to experience nature and the physical world. You need to handle a bunch of work, including planning, bookings, and preparing your luggage. However, what would you choose if you had a chance to share the same experience in a 3D view of the same place in your living room? I would choose the second option, feel the same experience while in the comfort of my sofa. The travel industry will die in the Metaverse as people will enjoy the same adventurous experience in high-density views in their home from smart gadgets.

Like the travel industry, the theatre industry will die from people’s preference for high-quality movies and cinemas at home rather than at theatres. In Metaverse, higher density technology than 3D will be developed, which will make an end to the theatre Business.

It is estimated that 80% of the hotel are sustained by tourism. Metaverse will see an end to the travel industry and thus, in turn, kill the hotel industry. Corporate meetings and other social gatherings will happen in virtual realities; therefore, hotels will lose significance and die.

Metaverse is a reality that will soon be with us. There is no need to panic as it will surely happen. You only need to accept and prepare for the change. Our life will make a turnaround change, and many businesses will die while a few will thrive. If I get more claps on this blog, I will write about the businesses that will grow during Metaverse.

If I receive 100 Claps, I will write which bussiness will grow in Metavarse.
