Blog 7

I am gonna be honest. I always thought critical analysis was a waste of time while reading. I have thought this way all the way up till I took this class. It was also something I always struggled with. I remember being in fourth grade and my teacher telling me I needed to see a tutor because I needed extra help. I have had an abundance of teachers tell me to always annotate while reading, but it never clicked with me. I guess I had to take this class for it to all click. I like to think I am an avid reader. While reading my latest book, I have noticed myself critically thinking about the events and characters in my book. I have even started to annotate! Never in a million years did I think I would be reading how I am reading now.

I choose the blog posts I did because I feel like these posts really showcase my writing the best. They were the writings I felt most confident in. I choose to keep Blog #6 because I liked how I tied the events of 1984 to events happening in our real world, like the current curfew placed on Ohioans. I choose to keep Blog Post 5 because I really like my writing. Finally, I chose to keep Time Travel Analysis because my other two posts were more summary and opinion based, where this post is more evidence based. I liked my use of evidence in this post and also liked my introduction a lot.

This project of creating a blog was really fun and new to me. I have never had to do something like this in any other class. It made critical thinking, something I never really enjoyed, a little more fun.
